Chardonnay ‘for Harold’ 2011

chardharold2011

Sophisticated.

Named in honour of my father, Chardonnay for Harold is an understated, classic wine made in the Chablis style. In the glass the wine positively glints. On the nose there are mandarins and apricots against distinctive mineral notes, promising a clean, bright wine. The palate structure is pure Chablis – flinty, clean, racy and attractive – with flavours of lemon sorbet and peaches. Made with 75% sparkling base and 25% later-picked fruit. 12.5% aged in new French oak for 10 months. Only 90 cases produced. $24.50.
